In all seriousness though, obviously, this isn't a "strange" occurrence and these cliffs have been crumbling for millenia... It's why they exist at all. I believe there are warnings up top to remind people that there's always a risk of collapse.

Good timing to catch it on video though. More likely to happen these days as pretty much everyone has a camera in their pocket at all times.

the white cliffs are made of chalk, they are very soft and porous, so yes, they are going to crumble

Yes i'm sure way back in my memory there was a quite huge fall , and i remember as a kid the many crossings on ferries we had and we would all be on deck when the white cliffs appeared ~ Yay we were almost home and we could get off the sometimes rocking and rolling ship and then get through customs with contraband ! the kids had all the gold rings on string round our bellies and we pretended to be asleep . Sounds awful but it wasn't really.
