Default Actor Kevin Sorbo (Hercules) removed from Facebook

https://www1.cbn.com/cbnnews/enterta...leted-his-page

He was just live on FoxNewsHD
with his wife.

He says he posts other views
on Covid
and then says "what do you think of it"

I can see why the Stopped his account on Facebook
he should not have posted any old link
on Covid.

It's his own doing.

Automatically banning people for voicing stupid conspiracy theories just gives fuel to the "they must be covering something!!" nutters.

My aunt (who loves David Ike...) was earnestly telling me about how the vaccine will turn everyone into communists. I tried googling this, and the nearest thing I could find was another bonkers theory that said China released the virus in order to cripple economies and make counties collapse into communism, or something?

She's pretty into this stuff so I doubt it was a misreading on her part; but being unable to even find a reference or debunking of something so obviously stupid does smell a bit fishy.

I understand that discouraging people from getting the vaccine isn't on, but neither is the wholesale shutting down of conversations .

The biggest twist is that, no, this is NOT a porn parody. This was the actual show.

That's an LT tactic and it isn't big and it isn't clever.

I can see both sides of this really. On one hand, the disinformation that goes around on Social Media is just an absolute mess. On the other... ... every corner of social media is so packed with various flavours of disinformation, "instabanning" one variety feels like serious hypocrisy. I can't remember the last time I saw a Facebook post that DIDN'T contain some sort of disinformation.

The answer of course isn't banning Sorbo. It's deleting Facebook entirely. And Twitter. And all of 'em. Just burn Social Media to the ground. Maybe the internet in general.

Not without nursing a hangover whilst watching **** like Hercules and Andromeda you didn't. A half-life of stunted partying at best.

Social media does need to die tbh. You can usually tell someone who spends their life online - miserable, joyless people who get angry at every little thing that happens in politics or even the Twitterverse...

Anyway, if someone chooses not the get the jab because of something they read online, that could be seen as Darwin in action

...I’m just watching his Right Now interview atm ...my first impression would be a guy filled with irony ...as he describes Facebook people/users as sad and pathetic and similar such descriptives...and is obviously unhappy with the closing down of his account with 500,000 followers...or in the interest of consistency, that would be 500,000 sad and pathetic users who follow him...and he himself also being one of those users/sad pathetic people...I mean the whole concept of criticising any social media site in terms of their users, while being part of that site yourself....crazy, crazy and irony filled crazy...and him being banned for being himself and not being a follower...while wanting his followers back because obviously he feels followers are needed...so much irony and lack of awareness and not one mirror in plain sight...

A large ego; he doesn't put himself in the same category as "those people" and sees no irony in believing that he is to be followed, and most others are to be followers.

It comes across by the shovel-load in his performances in the fantastically trashy shows mentioned above... I suspect he's not much of an actor... that's just him. Captain Dylan Hunt, big ol' swinging cock of the Systems Commonwealth.

He is a meme - hence gathering only a few thousand for his new account. I suspect he doesn't realise that most of the 500,000 weren't following him for his political views.
