...okay, so this is what one article says, crikey these old traditions of ‘royal’...


Back in 1917, King George V restricted the number of family members who could rock a royal title, and naturally, he phrased it in the most complicated and annoying way possible:

“The grandchildren of the sons of any such Sovereign in the direct male line (save only the eldest living son of the eldest son of the Prince of Wales) shall have and enjoy in all occasions the style and title enjoyed by the children of Dukes of these Our Realms.”

Which basically means that the titles of “prince” and “princess” are restricted to the children of the sovereign (e.g., Prince Charles, Prince Edward, and Princess Anne), the children of the sovereign’s sons (e.g., Prince Harry and Prince William), and the eldest son of the eldest son of the Prince of Wales (e.g., Prince George). But since Prince Harry is the second son of Prince Charles, his kids are not guaranteed the title of “prince” or “princess.”

So if she widened it out, the public would then say ... more scroungers. With precedent it's a slippery slope and with the queen she very, very rarely breaks tradition. ...but she did though, with Charlotte...she has recently amended it for Charlotte in modern times...but not for Archie...

Exactly and when Archie grows up he'll always be able to Google the media hate his mother experienced.

It was still stated as ‘male’ children, though...so in Elizabeth amending it to include Charlotte, it was open to amendments being made...these ‘traditions’ are so outdated, they obviously have to be open to being updated as well and apparently are...what an amazing Birth gift to have given her great grandson.....


Side note: At this point, you’re probably wondering why Princess Charlotte got to be called “princess” since she’s not “the eldest son of the eldest son of the Prince of Wales.” That’s because in 2013, Queen Elizabeth II issued a letters patent that removed the first-kid-only decree. How modern!

I don't get this "They wouldn't get me help for my mental state" thing. She was a grown experienced woman, could she not get help herself, like any of us has to do? Or why would Harry not get her help? Or insist that she was given help?

She says she was suicidal but she and Harry just trundled along, doing nothing, because the HR dept. refused to help her?

Doesn't add up at all.

Harry did try to get her help through the family, but they were told there was nothing that could be done. The royal family are known for this especially with Diana who said as much in her own explosive interview.
