Default UK to cut aid to Yemen, but famine on children is there

Ch4HDnews,
Reported there will be an urgent question in Parliament, tomorrow.

[Yemen: Anger over reports UK to cut aid
with masses of children on 'brink of famine'
Yemen is home to what aid agencies have
described as
the "worst humanitarian disaster in the world".]

[Foreign Office minister James Cleverly will lay
out the details of the likely cuts later.
It follows the government's decision
to cut foreign aid across the board
by billions of pounds - from 0.7%
of gross national income to 0.5%.

"Any cut, let alone one of nearly 50%, will mean that four million Yemenis - mainly children - will continue the slow, agonising and obscene process of starving to death."

...this is so, so heartbreaking...the Yemen situation is being described as the world’s worst humanitarian crisis ...there could be other funding cut to recoup some of the COvID spending...?...wasn’t extra funding just put into nuclear weapons recently...?....

Obscene as to where some of the priorities are from the government Ammi.

Sadly, 43% voted for this and 55% didn't.
Not that in the slightest does that matter.

Until we get fully representative and proportional government, these wrong in my view, decisions will continue.

...I know it’s not the same but I’m also thinking of when Marcus Rashford stepped in as well with children’s school meals ...I understand that COVID has had a huge financial strain on all countries...?...but as has been said, first there must be human life as the priority and there is so much ‘rebuild’ to be addressed worldwide but children are the world’s future to be part of that rebuild...the aid that we’re cutting is mainly to children and it’s all they have to have any chance at all to survive and live any life...cutting aid is cutting their lifeline...I mean, we just couldn’t possibly ever imagine their world...

I totally agree with all you've said there.

It's where and what is prioritised when you need to look at any action or saving needed.
As in dealing with any crisis on our own domestic front.

This however isn't the right way to go, it comes across as a very heartless attitude to the Yemen situation.
In my view.

The chancellor said that despite the cut, the government would still be spending £10bn on aid next year.

"If you look at that as a percentage of GDP that's 0.5%, which will still make us more generous than almost any other major economy and we'll still be one of the most active countries globally," Mr Sunak said.

He added: "We're doing so much and people should hold their head up high about the role we're playing."

We have millions to waste on making sure the Tories' rich friends get richer with bull**** government contracts, but we're cutting down on funds that can save people's lives?

Oh well, Boris is doing the best he can! If it was Keir Starmer there would be no aid for anyone and the world would burn overnight! It's a good thing Boris is in charge and is making sure his friends are profiting from company contracts, what a considerate person! Let's keep voting for the tories, they only **** on us because they care!!
