1% is an insult but no doubt it will be bumped up when it goes for approval

It's an obscene action by the government.
Whether it's 12% or a bit under, I hope it is raised from this degrading 1% which amounts to a pay cut with inflation, will be justified. Andy Burnham is right. I cannot believe this government has even dared to kick the NHS staff in the teeth like this. That they'd even consider ever trying to!! Of course, it knows it has heartless hard-line supporters who will back them. Even though those supporters are a minority even of voters. Obscene and disgraceful. Just sums up well the attitude and lip service of this PM and his government to the NHS. Even worse and more wrong after this chaotic year for the NHS and staff too. Indefensible however there's those who will. |

There comes a time arista where enough is enough.
If they're left with no other options, then that's down to the government's failure not theirs. I hope there won't be strikes, I still doubt there will be, however I'd support them, they'll always ensure emergency cover is in place if they were. Tell your government to do the really right thing and not try to get away with heartlessness and injustice. Then allowed to by their harder line supporters too. |

Who needs payrises when you can get some people stood on their doorstep banging pots and pans to show how grateful they are?!

My wife didn't even get her "special one off" bonus payment . Apparently a few people didn't and it "should" be sorted out... not holding our breath.

I think they should get a pay rise but we haven't got a bottomless pit ,but they should be top priority, I also think nursing is a vocation and not just about money, stop the furlough till September and give it the nurses and doctors and I mean them, NOT the fat cats and admin at the top !!

All public service workers should get the same rise as the pensioners every year.
Simple solution. Guaranteed CPI, linked to earnings or 2.5 percent, whichever is highest. |
