I use the Blue Herbal Essences Hello Hydration shampoo and conditioner because I love the coconutty smell . I’ve changed shampoo sometimes in the past and I end up getting bad dry scalp so I just stick with this since I know it works (:

No....if you wish to look after your hair properly because not everyone has the same types of hair and some need different products to manage the hair they have.

This.

Herbal essences along with many other products (what you see in adverts) do absolutely nothing for my hair. In fact, it can be damaging

I sometimes use head and shoulders and never had a problem, i don't think it's a miracle cure for dandruff LOL but it's still supposed to look after your hair.

But i also use other shampoos and conditioners aswell that usually have ingredients like ginger, coconut, avocado , tee tree etc which really helps to nourish the hair.

Yeah.

Some people have fine greasy hair and need to shampoo everyday, therefore it might be important to get a shampoo that doesn’t strip too much of natural oils, i.e. free of sulfates which used everyday could promote hair loss. That might be contested, but I rather avoid the risk. Regardless your hair will be healthier in the long run.

Some people have thick dry hair that doesn’t need to be shampooed everyday; in those circumstances bimonthly or maybe even monthly washes could be enough. Certain ingredients cater to those needs, such as clarifying shampoos, as it gets rid of all that build up.

They may also benefit from a shampoo with oils while those with thin greasy hair will get weighed down with oils and should avoid it. They should also avoid conditioners.

I’m not fully sure what I’ve said is correct but that just goes to prove how specific the correct products need to be.

You may have dyed hair, dandruff, itchy scalp, use a lot of gels/hairspray, straighten your hair a lot. It is essential to use the right shampoo which accounts for that for you to continue doing all that while not causing long term damage to your hair. It SHOWS. It may even show when it falls out because you’ve been abusing your scalp for too long.

The whole point is establishing a routine specific to your hair type and getting a suitable shampoo for it. Getting the right shampoo could save you money, since it could constitute ingredients that allow you to wash less, or save you from spending money on more products trying to correct problems.

It’s definitely better than getting £1 shampoo from Tesco, which could exacerbate hair issues. The right shampoo and regiment could be what you need to prevent your hair from weakening and falling out. and then you go and buy some alpecin garbage that promises to grow your hair back. Now THAT’S giving into marketing. I’ll stick with forking out £6 every month.

Your hair is your hair. Once it’s gone that’s it. Arguably it’s more important than your skincare routine for your face.

Yeah, coconut seems to work for my hair as well. The coconut and white peach shower gel from Superdrug is not bad either and is less than a quid.
