Default Actress Jessica Walter has died, 80.
I’m absolutely gutted she was one of my favourites.

Veteran actress most known for her roles in the movies “Play Misty For Me” and “Grand Prix”, and the TV shows Arrested Development, Archer, Dinosaurs and more.

Lucille Bluth is one of the best sitcom character creations in history imo.

Just an amazing character on paper made even greater by Walter’s performance. Think I might rewatch AD again seeing as it’s on Netflix.

A legend. I didn't really watch Arrested Development, and only caught glimpses of Archer, but she was obviously fantastic in both (and presumably much more).

If any of you have never seen "Play Misty For Me" I really recommend it. It's terrifying and was basically an early portrayal of severe mental illness in a female character (even though she's "the baddie") and Jessica plays the hell out of it.

If you've only ever seen her in AD/Archer/other light-hearted comedy type roles it's a bit of a shock!

It's sort of the original Fatal Attraction if you will. Instead of Glenn and Michael Douglas you get Jessica and Clint Eastwood.
