It will be interesting to see if voters in Scotland in any meaningful number now go to support Salmond's new Party.
A party in no way needed. He may as well have crossed over to the Con Party. As it's likely only the Cons both in Scotland and as the UK government currently will benefit, if Scots voters do head to this divisive action from Salmond. We hear a lot that Scotland is never likely to want a Con led Holyrood assembly or particularly a Con UK government. However, the only cause they'll be assisting voting for Salmond's Party is actually that very one. Strengthening Johnson's determination against the SNP's positions. While artificially building up possibly the Cons Holyrood presence too. Very sad to see Salmond join the wreckers category of politics. Although it will be interesting to see how the results do go now in the May elections. |
