Thumbs up Landmark report says UK is 'a model to the world' NOT RACIST on diversity

Britain's race revolution: Landmark report says UK is 'a model to the world' on
diversity, describes us as a 'successful multi-ethnic community'... and finds NO
evidence of institutional racism

  • Major review concluded Britain is a model of a successful multi-ethnic society
  • Commission on Race and Ethnic Disparities was set up by the PM Boris Johnson
  • The review said Britain's success should be a model for white-majority countries
  • But it also warned UK is not 'a post-racial society' and 'outright racism persists'

Britain is a model to the world of a successful multi-ethnic society, a major
review concluded last night.

It found no evidence the UK is institutionally racist – in a rejection of the
common view among some activists - although there is evidence that 'overt'
prejudice exists.

The Commission on Race and Ethnic Disparities, set up by Boris Johnson in
the wake of the Black Lives Matter protests, concluded that although Britain
is not yet a 'post-racial society', its success should be a model for white-
majority countries.

Commission chairman Tony Sewell said the UK had progressed into a
'successful multi-ethnic and multicultural community' which was a 'beacon to
the rest of Europe and the world'.

government doesn't like it when people say institutional racism exists appoints a panel of people who don't believe institutional racism exists, and they've produced a report which argues that institutional racism doesn't exist.

Colour me shocked

"But it also warned UK is not 'a post-racial society' and 'outright racism persists' "

On balance, I don't think it can be denied that the UK does better than most white-majority countries on race issues, but that shouldn't be mistaken for perfection, or for a justification that no further work needs to be done.

I bet that "doctor" Shola who's on GMB from time to time had a right bitchfit over this

The UK isn't perfect, nowhere is, but if anywhere should be the standard-setter, it should be here.

Oliver: I'll gloat about how anti-racist I am by mocking a black woman.

I'm un-racist enough to not reduce someone to their skin colour, and to not give them special treatment for it.

Oliver: I don't reduce someone to their skin colour.

Also Oliver: Selects black woman to mock in a thread about racism.

And if it were a thread about crazy pronoun use, I'd use Benjamin Butterworth as an example.

Oh well if the Daily Mail says we're not a racist country, it must be true.

Glad this has finally been clarified.

The statistics speak for themselves.

Time to start giving the disadvantaged white population a leg up.

Meanwhile the 2021 policy objectives of the ruling Tories line up perfectly with the 1970's national front.

This very forum has shown outrageous racism ever since I can remember so all I can imagine is they asked a certain demographic to get the result they wanted.

If only people put as much effort into acknowledging racism as they do denying it, then the lies they peddle could actually be the truth one day.

If the Daily Mail says it then it must be true. The millions of black people must be making it up .

Serious point. Who did this study and who did the speak to? Seems a bit too sure for my liking

Why should I supply links for you? If you can't see blatant racism it's not up to me to find examples for you especially on a forum that deletes offensive posts.

...so Tony Sewell who has apparently previously stated that he doesn’t believe there is any institutionalised racism in existence was commissioned by Boris to lead the report to support that there is no institutionalised racism in existence..?...that doesn’t sound an unbiased person if he’s expressed very definite views and hey ho, look at what the report is saying...exactly fitting his own beliefs...?...

This bit seems to be buried at the bottom of the piece

But it also warned UK is not 'a post-racial society' and 'outright racism persists'
