Default Englands Carbon emissions are '100 times greater than government claims'

[Carbon emissions from England’s
planned £27bn roadbuilding programme
will be about 100 times greater than the
government has stated,
according to expert witnesses
in a court challenge.
Environmental campaigners are
seeking a judicial review of the second
roads investment strategy (RIS2),
which was described by ministers when
launched as “the largest ever investmen
t in English strategic roads”,
paying for 4,000 miles of road and
including such schemes as the
Lower Thames Crossing and
the Stonehenge tunnel.]

They'll be back within normal range now, we got a new car at the weekend. It was scientifically proven that 99% of the UK's carbon emissions were actually coming from my old car starting up.

carbon figures are determined over a period of time, where they will estimate the proportion of electric vehicles etc and also the level of offsetting will be estimated too, together with improvements in public transport etc. The greens will of course have their own method of calculation that will appear bad unless everyone is using horse and cart as their main means of getting around. They will be pleased that TS has decided to go that route with his new car(t)

[One in four Britons is unwilling to change key
habits that would help tackle climate crisis - poll

Only 50% of respondents in the YouGov poll
for Sky News supported a ban on the sale
of new petrol and diesel cars from 2030.

Almost 25% of Britons are unwilling to change
key habits that would help tackle climate change,
an exclusive poll for Sky News suggests.
The survey, conducted by YouGov, asked participants
what they would be prepared to do in
order to reduce the country's carbon emissions.
While 20% said they would be willing to
+see substantial increases in the price
of overseas travel, 13% said they would
accept higher costs for meat and
other animal products.
Just 2% supported increasing heating bills.]

Yes... and all the young bucks who think they're going to save the world now will then be ten years older and consequently, the people who ruined the planet for the new generation.... and so it will go on.

Tories fiddling the numbers to trick people into thinking they’re doing a good job? Who’d of thunk it
