Default West Midlands:Ambulance technician has died object struck windscreen

[An ambulance technician has died
after an object struck the vehicle's
windscreen while responding
to a 999 call in Herefordshire.
His crewmate, the driver, was also injured
in the incident and required hospital
treatment before being discharged.
It happened at the junction of Moreton Road
and the A49, just north of Hereford
at 8am this morning,
West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

"Multiple resources" were sent to the scene,
including two emergency ambulance crews,
paramedic officers, the Midlands Air Ambulance
and two Mercia Accident Rescue Service doctors.]

That is Tragic.

As bad as it is I hope this was an accident rather than something more sinister

Very tragic...especially as he had retired and returned to work to help during the pandemic...I wonder what it was that hit the Window screen.

Life is so random sometimes, here one minute gone the next and as rusti said he was retired and got back out there to help others, a selfless act that cost him his life.

This is a freak accident the rock was trapped between the wheels of a passing lorry in the opposite direction that had been loaded at a local quarry

My brother has seen this happen in the past but that time the rock didn’t hit anything
Coming out of the quarry you should go over a grid that is ment to dislodge rocks and then go through a wheel wash
