...yeah I’m totally with you there, Seth...I find a Birmingham accent a very warm and open/welcoming accent...hmmmm, I’m not sure that I agree with Northern Ireland, though...my dad was a Northern man and his accent was very soft and very calming and soothing, really beautiful..... I loved it and everyone we knew always said the same as well...that they could listen to him forever...

I do find accents to be a really interesting subject because yes, it is part of your identity. It shows where you've grown up during the most formative years, what type of people you've hung around with etc and can even be a cue to certain personality traits.

More people need to put South African as their favourite accents.
