I still think it defeats the object a bit to still hug with masks.

Surely waving or elbow tap is safer? .

In France we kiss on the cheek...a lot. And it depends on the regions: either 2 (my region), 3 or 4 kisses on the cheek. All my British friends, in-laws etc have always been surprised to say the least (especially cheek kisses between men)

I tend to think I did it even when it wasn't necessary so I'm not eager to have it all back. There's a whole discussion about in France Because obviously this is the biggest issue we're facing at the minute. I will do it when I feel like it.

Not really when you’re outdoors, the risk of catching it is minuscule

You're saying he secretly wanted to hug everyone that whole time but it wasn't socially acceptable? That's quite sad then, really

That's exactly how I feel. I am not a hugger and consider the space around me to be personal space. I also haven't missed people trying to kiss me on the face when they don't know me.

God no.....I have told everyone that I intend to maintain the 2 metre distance for ever

We had a new starter at work once who hugged me on a night out (when I first got there so not even had a drink) - she still talks about how i froze and it was like hugging a corpse. I'm fine about that - back off and we'll be all good.

Oh Annie, when you were pregnant did you get the bump feelers? That used to drive me insane. All of a sudden someone you literally just met thinks they can feel your stomach. I found that so creepy

I think I give off an unapproachable air to be honest One woman tried it in the supermarket (I was about the pop) and I just took a huge step back and she apologised. Why anyone would think that's ok is strange isn't it?

I completely understand and agree , especially if you don't have that Close relationship with someone. Or if you just appreciate and prefer your own personal space.

I'm normally pretty good at coming across as unapproachable It must have been the pregnancy hormones making me weak, I cried because I lost a game of cards one time when I was pregnant

Definitely not.

I'm more of a distanced (only if I really really have to comfort someone) quick pat on the back/shoulder type of person

Unless you are part of my immediate family don't ever touch me in any way at all or depending on my mood you could get throat punched tbh
