Default How comfortable do you feel ...

... going on night walks in your area? Is it something you do often or does the mere thought of it make you uneasy?

I've been for night walks pretty much every area in London that I've stayed and always felt safe, at home though definitely not because it's so isolated with literally nobody around (hardly in the day, especially at night)

I love night walking, I am lucky to live in a town that has very little major crime, Ive only known of 3 high profile cases in all the years I've lived here.

Hmm. Would you feel as safe walking in Peckham or Hackney alone at night?

the crime rate in my little town is tiny, so there are no issues going out at any time here. Of course that can quickly change if someone were to take advantage of that serenity

I live in a pretty safe area, I still wouldn't go night walking alone, I'd be a bit nervous plus I prefer company on a walk anyway. If I needed to go somewhere and the car wasn't an option I would do it and I'd probably be pretty safe though. When I was 20 living in London, i used to have to do a lot of walking and Tubing at night after work which was always well after 12am, that was much more scary, thankfully nothing too bad ever happened but I definitely felt intimidated by men/groups of teenager boys on a lot of occasions

I do walk at night and I like it. I live in the country though, not in a city, so it's different. My parents' house is a walk from my house and I make it frequently. Of course, I always have the dog with me and he's very protective. I used to go for long walks when I lived in East Ham and never felt threatened. I certainly wouldn't walk round there on my own now, even with the dog.

I don't like walking anywhere AT NIGHT, surely that's asking for trouble.

Yeah I wouldn't be walking around after dark, that said I would have no issue taking the dog out after it gets dark in the winter time, but early like before 6.

Idk I've been to both but never lived in either. I'd probably feel comfortable after living there for a while. Tottenham is considered to be bad (idk if any worse or better than those) and I felt totally safe there

We live/lived in a lovely , quiet little town and I was always fairly confident .

Nothing ever really happened , we went decades without any seriously worrying incidents then a few years ago - out of the blue - an elderly woman in her seventies was raped , murdered and SKINNED !!

This happened in daylight in the local bus station toilets !!!

The murderer wasn’t caught at the time and was on the loose for over a decade !

Thankfully DNA techniques had improved over time and was apprehended when his DNA was taken in a completely random traffic incident about 12 years later

I’ve never felt totally at ease since that terrible murder.
