In De Telegraaf, Van Aalst, Burema and Van Weelde say that they have very recently been confronted with actions by some individuals who have exceeded all standards of decency. According to them, a club cannot be governed by a supporters ultimatum. Resulting in threats to a trainer and several club directors and their relatives. They feel that a line has been crossed that cannot be accepted. They experience the resignation with which some NAC sections have followed or even embraced this spectacle as very shocking.
The statement ends like this: We no longer feel at home in a club where this kind of exorbitant and bad practice is not labeled as completely unacceptable and carries the risk of becoming the norm. That is why we have decided to end all our financial involvement with NAC Breda with immediate effect. This means, among other things, that we, the three major shareholders, will offer our shares for sale. More information will follow about how this is done.‘ https://netherlandsnewslive.com/club...at-nac/180711/ -------------------------------- lots of drama here right now, the two previous incidents leading up to this reaction from the (former) owners 1) director of football and club icon Ton Lokhoff resigned at first (because he didn't feel like he and the owners have the same ambitions) but he has now admitted he wants to return since he is a true NAC fan through and through 2) manager Maurice Steijn resigned after he and his family having received death threats by the fans, Steijn had said the one responsible for this is no one other than another club icon and dutch international Pierre van Hooijdonk who felt sad about his son not being part of first team and starting line up too often (i mean jeez crybaby Pierre upset about his son is not playing ) but sending death threats to a manager over this has this ever occured in english or scottish football? incidents like this i mean, that serious with death threats towards a manager and his family?
