My understanding is
It was agreed that he went on trial and was accused by one woman in that trial the jury reached deadlock so they showed evidence from other accusers

A judge has over turned the guilty verdict saying Cosby had an unfair trial

there were 2 procedural issues with the case, one of which was an agreement that he wouldn't be prosecuted for that particular case. The prosecutor probably wanted details of that case so that others could be prosecuted, but it never ended up that way. It's crazy, but they do it usually to obtain guilty verdicts on other crimes

…what a saddening situation that there can’t be proper justice here…and all because of money and a settlement…it seems to be because there was a civil lawsuit and in that civil lawsuit which Andrea Constand sued Bill Cosby for sexual battery and defamation and received an undisclosed financial settlement …part of that settlement was a confidentiality agreement and that compromised any future criminal trial so now justice has had to be overturned basically….what an absolute farce and betrayal to rape victims….Wealth buying immunity from justice even with rape when victims have been drugged to immobility…?….seriously saddening beyond words….everyone involved in this should hang their heads in shame, women are nothing to them…

This is why people are petrified to come forward.

Brave women who this man raped and violated finally had the chance to face their demons and get some form of justice and he gets just 2 years of incarceration while these poor victims have spent their entire lives of trauma.

I know I'd think twice about speaking out if the result was just two years. I'd wonder if going through the process and awful memory's was worth it.

Let’s be honest lawyers are paid massive amounts of money to defend rapist’s and murders and some get their client off with murder and rape by playing the system.
