People were contacting the clubs he had gigs booked at to get his shows cancelled, These people are the modern day witch hunters, they've now burnt him. That's where we're at now, we're back to witch hunts of humans. All those people who spent the entire tournament banging on about and pushing race issues. The ones who were constantly saying, "The England football team would be nothing without immigration" That's who's he's taking the pi55 out of.

There are a few issues at play here, so replying in the exact way you want won't be possible, but I'm happy to give you a reply, and I'll even try an pre-empt your future reply and explain why I think you're wrong in advance.

Firstly, I'm not sure it's a joke. I don't mean that he knew it wasn't a joke, or didn't mean it to be a joke, I'm just not sure it's in anyway a joke. If I was being charitable, the closest genre you could try and squeeze it in to wold be satire, and I think it falls a million miles short.

I think you're going to try and give an explanation that it's about online crazies and the left and both of them mixed up at the same time, and here's where I'll try and pre-empt your reply.

If you're using satire as your comedic vehicle, then you'd better be punching up, and when you post racist stuff, you're automatically punching down, and then it stops ever being satire imo.

And alternatively GiRTh, had they have all scored and been the heroes, people like Sadiq Khan would have been saying our win was solely down to imagination and diversity. But the difference is, he wouldn't have been saying it as a joke, he would mean it as a fact. And that's the reason Lawrence is mocking these people, and as a comedian, so he should be, it's his job too.

But the point here is a human being has just had his life ruined simply because other humans don't understand the meaning behind his joke. That's where we're at, people are hunting and cancelling comedians, and they try passing themselves off as the good guys.

My fight is against the impact. The impact is facist in nature. A free country doesn't censor its comedians, and as our country is currently censoring its comedians, then we're no longer living in a free country, we now have overloads dictating our lives for us.

See what you saying but I cant equate the fight for freedom of speech with this mediocre comedian trying to be controversial.

His 'joke' wasnt funny and I doubt he even meant it to be funny. Its was a stupid statement that only someone quite bigoted would have even noticed. He's chose his path and now needs to live with the loss of his career.

I remember in Italia 1990 when Germany scored due to a deflection of Paul Parker. I was in a pub that was rammed and you can imagine the kind of sh*t I was hearing about Parker and his race. It nearly kicked off a few times too cuz I wasnt the only black person there. Its such a shame to see that attitude is still quite prevalent

…I don’t see how he was ‘cancelled’ anyway, surely this descriptive …(…which seems to be social media invented thing…)…manipulates anyway…he chose to use racist language on social media…he chose those words to represent him and if that was a representation of his ‘humour’ then others are also making decisions about how they would like to be represented…his agency no longer want to represent him/because what he’s chosen as a representation doesn’t align with their own choices…and also with any future venues that have been cancelled…the choice to have his act on their premises has been cancelled, he hasn’t been cancelled, he’s just now one of the many comedians that they haven’t chosen…


…this is what one said….and that’s perfectly reasonable, why would any of us pay for a service that went against our ethics and policies….

Chesham Comedy Club in Buckinghamshire announced its intention to cancel his show, writing on Twitter: "I know you won't particularly care, but we at Chesham Comedy club will not tolerate racism in any form so please consider your booking with us cancelled."

…they don’t choose to hire an act that goes against their racism intolerance policy…that’s an obvious choice because he has to make that same allowance for others, that they also have choices in how they’re represented just as he had when he used racist language…it was a ‘that’s me, this is who I am in my comedy, this is an example..’…he gave a ‘sampler’ and some venues have said no thank you, actually….
