Our surgery will do face to face if it is deemed necessary.
A lot of stuff can be dealt with on the phone as well. |

It’s all a load of bollox .
After waiting an eternity to speak to someone you can’t get past the receptionist to speak to a doctor or even book an appointment - as they tell you to use the Ask MyGp website... you log into that and it says the facility isn’t available at this time . I feel like it's a mix of both; they should be going back to face-to-face appointments for those who need them, however, for people who are a bit busier and have a minor ailment, a phone or video consultation and a prescription sent up to the nearest pharmacy is MUCH more convenient.

It's actually near impossible to see a doctor now since covid (not that it was much easier before thiugh) our surgeries are mostly doing phone consultation but that's only after you've given your life story to the receptionist and then they allow a doctor to call you back if they see fit.
I've had more prescriptions wrote up by the pharmacists lately and it's actually quite handy that they can prescribe more now, they can even give antibiotics out now. (Not sure if this is only in Scotland) |

with the nhs app, i am now able to look back at my medication history, and prior to the vaccination, my last medication was in 2005, so i can't say i'm a frequent user of the GP ... touch wood

Did you contact your GP and give them permission to allow the APP to see your health records ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Ours are doing face to face appointments since ages ago (we're still locked down more in other ways though)

I cracked my rib last month and it took so long just to get a certificate to be signed off work. I rang the doctors and they said I had to fill out some online consultation thing as they don’t book appointments for people over the phone.
Filled out the consultation thing and it said they’d get back to me in 4 days which I was kinda worried about since I’m only allowed a maximum of one week off work unless you provide a certificate. It got to the 4th day and they hadn’t contacted me so I phoned them and they were so casual like “oh someone was supposed to ring you yesterday but they didn’t, your appointments arranged for Monday” and just put the phone down whilst I’m sat there on the other end like since that would’ve been 8 days. It got to the Monday and they still didn’t ring me. By this point I was pretty fuming and was about to phone them when my GP messaged me and said my certificate is ready for me to collect tomorrow (why couldn’t I just collect it today would make sense). I got it in the end but I wouldn’t think it would take soo long for a certificate.
