Default London Gay Nightclubs opened at Midnight

Reported on Times Radio DAB Live

The Club about to go Bankrupt
was happy to open his doors
Covid-19 spreading faster
but he got money into his tills.

Lots of nightclubs opened at 00:01 this morning I heard.

Some not far from me over the border were advertising (Chester/Shrewsbury way) and seemed to be expecting packed houses.

Can't say I blame the owners, as you say they were nearly bankrupt so what else were they going to do? Boris has given the green light, nobody is forcing people to attend. Blame the government not the owners.

GMBHD itv

Showed a Boss of a Nottingham nightclub
he said Free masks for any that wanted them?

But he just wanted the Money to come in
and keep his club alive

Never mind about Fast Covid spreading

Don’t think anyone would go to a club if they had to keep their masks on

it's hardly a reckless decision when everyone over 18 has been offered a vaccine. I think some people just think we should be locked down now for the rest of our lives

of all people i really thought you would be on our side in this

i mean reopening, getting rid of all measures at a point when you still got many many daily cases (which will only increase now with all this irrelevant socializing)

The whole thing with Covid is a gamble. There is never going to be the absolute perfect time to lift restrictions as Covid is never going away and I can why they have done is as schools are closing for the summer. We know cases will continue to rise for a time to come but hopefully the vaccines will continue to keep hospitalisations rising more slowly.

Its certainly a worry, I won't be doing anything reckless but I can understand the younger generations loving being back in clubs. I know if I was still in my 20s I would have been in the queue for a club last night probably.

they are not gambling with peoples lives. In a free society, they are giving people responsibility for their own actions. It's up to every individual how they choose to live their lives

LBC reported in a 2000 person Nightclub in Newcastle where it was incredibly hot and sweaty the reporter saw 2 or 3 people wearing a mask. THe reporter asked a few folks about Covid and they said "we dont care"

not true, they are taking their own responsibility. If they don't care about covid, that is their choice. They no longer need to worry about infecting vulnerable people because they have all been vaccinated and are at minimal risk from covid

I've not seen much evidence so far in my life and I'm only 29, where reason, responsibility and common sense go hand in hand with alcohol.

Nobody wants everyone to be locked down for life.
That's a grossly insulting comment.

No one wants people locked down at all I'd doubt..
However with a highly infectious disease with variants created for a plenty too.

Safety should be the norm.

Mask wearing in indoor group settings should be compulsory.
Plus on transport too.

That's not locking people down at all.
That's protecting those more for who the vaccine cannot be given, or are more vulnerable.

If some others don't care about around 250 lives lost over the last few days.
Plus all the loved ones, families, friends, neighbours and workmates then grieving for those lost loved ones.
Well I for one do.

It's a great pity, in my view, those leading the Nation don't as well.

i'm perfectly happy with the government removing restrictions. People are not forced to attend nightclubs, they do it by their own volition. Young people must be allowed to be young, and do what young people do. It's a basic right of human liberty.

If the vulnerable were not vaccinated it would be a different scenario, but they are, so people must now be allowed to live their lives as they choose. That's what being in a free society is all about

All the vulnerable are NOT vaccinated..
Some people cannot have the vaccinations.
Those with much lower immune strength normally don't get the fullest protection from the vaccine also anyhow.
As Doctors have said across the news this morning even.

Those charging into nightclubs etc, no masks, no precautions, will be back in the shops, transport, work and their communities.

Yet you support the lifting of all restrictions.

God literally help us and those who cannot be vaccinated.

They are the ones to be locked down for the foreseeable future under your and your government's attitude, with, well it's their responsibility now only, not ours or not anyone elses.

Shocking in my view and extremely reckless.

Why have seatbelt laws?

Surely they should give people responsibility for their own actions?

Because there was Overwhelming evidence that wearing them would drastically reduce road crash fatalities

If you have a link to overwhelming evidence that mask-wearing drastically reduces deaths from Covid lets see it (I dont think there is any but happy to be wrong)
