a few hours back live on CNN HD
said they will ride it out?

But they may run out of Food and Drinks

the last i heard it was constant wind of 150mph (not just gusts) We have never had anything close to that in severity

Reed just said one station just recorded a 148mph gust and then the anemometer snapped off

a 75mph gust would knock over a human to his/her knees

F only knows what 150 would do

the damage/effect isn't simply twice as bad as 75mph, it has an exponentially more damaging effect. Anyone out in the open will be at serious risk of death

But New Orleans has no Power.
Could take some days to get it back.



Not as bad a Katrina
as it changed to less winds faster.
