Default Naked Attraction ads on London Buses are being removed
They are in Black
and have an Arrow posting up to who is sitting in a seat



Was just on BBC1 London News.


Ch4 has apologised

Yeah I've seen them on buses where I live. I did think they were risky ads as what if a kid was sat in one of the seats and has an arrow pointing up at them seems a bit weird. Think it's the lowest of the low TV show anyway

Naked Attraction. It's the show I always think of when some right-on, woolly-woke says "OMG! I don't know how they got away with that!" about some quite innocuous comment made in the 1980s.

Eh, I can see that some people might find it funny. The intention was probably to make it into a "photo op" where people would be snapped with the arrow pointing at them for their socials.

The issue is definitely that they have no idea who will be in those seats... especially the "loves being naked" ones. A kid, or a sexual assault victim, or even just someone with very poor body image in that seat and it's obviously deeply inappropriate. Also, women have enough trouble with people making suggestive comments at them in the street, without stepping off a bus not even realising that they've been sat above a giant "loves being naked" sign.

And they might not even know the arrows are there, especially with the advert not being on the same side as the door...
