Default TV series you've watched through more than once

I've watched an absolute tonne of telly but giving it some thought, there actually aren't that many shows I've watched start-to-finish multiple times, and even fewer that are more than twice. Thought this could be interesting, especially as it doesn't necessarily correlate with "best shows I've seen". Some amazing shows are really a one-time experience. Anyway, here is the list that I can think of...

Start to finish multiple times

Buffy
Angel
The Office (US)
Parks & Rec
Stargate SG-1
Rick & Morty
Tennant + Smith eras of Doctor Who

Start to finish twice

Lost
The Walking Dead (seasons 1-10, obvs not finished yet)
One Tree Hill
Stargate Atlantis
The 100
Peep Show
The Inbetweeners

Miscellaneous

Friends

- I've seen every episode multiple times, but I've only done seasons 1 - 10 in order once since it ended, so this is both "many times" and "only twice")

South Park

- I've definitely seen every episode more than once. Some just twice, some 10+ times, but not in order.

Gawan then. What shows did you like enough to watch 'em twice.

I've watched Episodes of the Office UK multiple times never in order again though after the first watch.

I'll probably do a rewatch of After Life before S3 comes out

BSG (the 00's Show not the 70's one)
Gilmore Girls
Stargate Atlantis & SG-1 (although that was years ago now)

If we can include Anime I've rewatched Claymore, Innocent Venus & The Promised Neverland multiple times, although let's pretend that The Promised Neverland Season 2 doesn't exist.

I'm doing a proper Buffy watch now actually, because my family years ago tried to get me into the Show in Season 7 bizarrely.

Season 1 despite it's flaws is definitely better than Season 7 from what I remember about that Season.

And I haven't seen Korra personally, but I don't blame you with Avatar that was an awesome Show, as was Gravity Falls imo.

If this thread was name a show you don't think Mock would like at all, I would have said Gilmore Girls.

However, I don't think I've EVER seen them in order. It's one of those shows where you don't really have to though, I suppose, each episode is it's own thing.

I tried a BSG rewatch a couple of years back because I loved my first watch, but I found it just didn't work the same I was up all night with my eldest when I first watched it, and properly binged it (like 5 eps a night start to finish) - and I think part of what made it so great was that sense of "dread" because they were constantly on the run, facing overwhelming odds, and that's what made it so intense (along with feeling like I was actually there because I was watching it so much ). Anyway - I found that on a rewatch, it just didn't hit the same because it's not got that element of unpredictability. So it shall forever remain that very intense start-to-finish experience of watching all 73 episodes + the movies in the space of 2 weeks

Honestly I literally slept 7am - 1pm, worked 2pm - 10pm and spent the night watching BSG while holding a baby. It was a strange, strange, yet very cosy time. I remember I had headphones on a massive extension cable from the TV because it had to be silent, but that was in the days before **** like bluetooth headphones .

1 - 3 are great (despite S1 clearly being very low budget), 4 is a bit ropey in all honesty, some great standalone episodes but overall meh. I enjoy 5, and actually 6. 7 I think is good but it's an intensely focused "finishing up" season - I can't imagine anyone getting much out of it if they haven't actually seen the rest of the show .

My personal favourite season is S3.

You should watch Angel as well - objectively, it's actually a better made show overall, definitely more consistent.

Your Granddad-in-Law sounds amazing

I probably watched Father Ted in order twice, the first time back when it actually aired and the 2nd with my kids, they love it now too, other than that I've watched episodes not in order multiple times

Oh a general question to everyone who mentioned Fr Ted in here, what's your favourite episode? Mine is Tentacles of Doom (the one when the 3 Bishops comes to up grade the Holy Stone of Clonrichert to a class 2 relic)

I'm currently watching "It ain't half hot mum" for the zillionth time. I love it!

Unfortunately, I have nobody to discuss it with, because you all like American things and dramas, and super heroes and fantasy.

Basically, I am unique.

Do people still use DVDs? We have a big rack full of DVDs and no DVD player connected anymore

My DVD collection would make Netflix's content look like Poundland. I have far more choice and better content, and I don't have to keep paying a monthly fee.

I know who's winning.

Since the upgrade from PS4 > PS5 (I got the discless version) ... I don't even own anything that can play a DVD. None of our current laptops or computers even have optical drives.

Although actually, did PS2 play DVDs? I actually can't remember. We still have a PS2 hooked up for SSX Tricky, so if PS2 plays DVDs, then I guess I could take a trip to ye olde days and watch a physical box set .
