Default All GP's must do Appointments Face to Face

The Health Secretary
is to Bring in a Grass your GP up table.

Some GP's will need to make the Appointment
no more than 7mins long.

It's like a bit of good and bad these proposals.

It appears to have got GPs annoyed, so I don't know what to make of them yet.

I can't see where bringing in anything more divisive is going to help as to recruitment of training for GPs or holding on the ones we have.

The government has another health issue here however, to possibly ease the strain on the wider NHS, they are going to need greater cooperation from the GPs we have left.

So adding any divisive or irritating plans, I can't see helping as to that.

Oh you have the same dreadful situation with the doctors as us, an hour wait in phone queue is not unusual and when you do get through you'll be lucky if you can get even a phone app nevermind see anyone , clinic doors are still locked ! I need a spirometry test doing, which the clinic used to do - now i have to travel to a large hospital to get it done , flammin joke it really is.

My mam was on hold for 2 hours for results of some important test she had. Then the person who answered told her that you can only get results before 4pm and it was now 4.15 so please call back tomorrow. Its ridiculous really. She stood her ground and got the results like, but thats hardly the point. If your system makes a wait time that long, be ****ing flexible with times really. Or preferably, sort the system.

My surgery is the pits these days. One good thing about social media is that they can no longer hide their crappy service, so they had to put out their own video ... How they are going to improve. We will see

[Ministers have set up a £250m
emergency winter rescue package

so GP surgeries can take on more temporary staff.

It comes amid mounting criticism about
the fall in face-to-face appointments
since the start of the pandemic.

Lack of access to GPs has been cited
as a key factor in growing pressures on A&Es.]

They must put on the Masks
and let us visit them
when needed.
