Doesn't seem to be working for me today, no matter what letters I type in for the 1st guess it won't accept them and says "not in word list"?

You're probably trying weird Irish 5 letter words like "feoil" and "niamh".

Honestly I don't know though, I've only ever done it on my phone and it's been fine.

I did it on my phone yesterday and it was fine, I tried it on my PC today and when it didn't work I tried it one my phone and it still didn't work

Ok got it, 5th attempt today. My problem was I actually didn't realise you needed to put proper words in each time, I thought you could throw in random letters I must have just got lucky that each of my guesses were proper words yesterday

I just end up having arguments with my phone. "HMPH I'm pretty sure that IS a word. What does it mean? I don't know but it looks like a word to me."

That was also my "words with friends" tactic.

Funny side story; I once got sectarian abuse from some old bloke on Words with Friends because I used the word "bhoys". .

"boy" is used in the Cork dialect a lot actually, you can guarantee if someone from another Irish county is doing the Cork accent, they will add "boy" on to the end of the sentence

It's not that the word is offensive, it's a word Celtic fans often use to refer to themselves/the team ("The Bhoys") and he thought that because I used it, I must be a Celtic fan, and thus Catholic . Which is the part he clearly found offensive. Playing anonymous internet Scrabble with a Catholic .
