There are four athletes competing in 2022 who have won medals at previous Olympics - Izzy Atkin (2018), Eve Muirhead (2014) and Laura Deas (2018). Gus Kenworthy won silver in ski slopestyle in 2014 representing the United States. In 23 Winter Games, Britain have won just 32 medals in total - although seven more were won in figure skating, when it was part of the 1908 and 1920 Summer Olympics. The past two Games have been the most successful for Team GB - who won five medals at both Sochi 2014 and Pyeongchang 2018. Below is the confirmed squad for Beijing - and the details of Britain's history in each sport. -------- Alpine skiing Britain is still searching for a first alpine skiing medal, with slalom specialist Alain Baxter's bronze at Salt Lake City in 2002 rescinded after he failed a drugs test. Ellia Smeding, 27th at the 1.500m, not bad for her olympic debut
she just needs a better coaching team i guess, but still got 1.000m so hopefully a improvement there, even if just a slight improvement

good time for TeamGB's Cornelius Kersten in his first olympic 500m at speed skating
35,36 hoping for yet another respectable end position, won't be a medal of course but he is doing well in his debut games

worth mentioning
unexpected 9th place in 1.000m (no medal ofc but a very nice debut result at Kersten's first 1.000m at olympics)  give this food for thought my dear GB and invest something more in speed skating
