![]() Bristol University’s ’neopronouns’ guide includes advice on how to address people who identify as ‘catgender’ The university said it was ‘committed’ to gender inclusion Staff at the University of Bristol are being given guidance on neopronouns and emerging gender identities such as ‘catgender’. "Catgender" is described on the web page as "[feeling] an extremely strong connection to cats or other felines, either strongly identifying with them or simply wanting to incorporate them into their gender to better understand their identity". The university’s ‘Using Pronouns at Work’ guide advises staff to include their own pronouns such as he/him or she/her when introducing themselves to students and other staff, helping others feel comfortable and ensuring the institution is a ‘welcoming and supportive’ place for all. It also links to a website that says some people may use ‘emojiself pronouns’ or nya/n pronouns (’nyan’ is the Japanese word for meow) as they identify as ‘catgender’, a xenogender in which one strongly identifies with cats or other felines. The guides goes on to say that a person’s identity is made up of multiple parts, gender being just one of these, and being mid-identified either accidentally or on purpose is uncomfortable for anyone. According to the document, this is particularly the case for trans and non- binary people, who will have undertaken a ‘long and difficult journey’ to be recognised as their correct gender. https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/15...ender-identity Last edited by Crimson Dynamo; 10-02-2022 at 12:43 PM. |

The only thing "catgender" people should be called, is a taxi cab to the nearest asylum.

Well as we know, you do still have to pay them alimony
Full context: She has had her legal status changed to show that she is a cat, and Dennis argues that he doesn't have to pay alimony to her anymore, as a cat can't be entitled to alimony. This was aired like 5 years ago too. Back then it was an obvious joke. Now a University has it in their guidebook. ![]() |
