Planning on doing this later on in the year.
Has anyone ever done it? Would you ever do it? |

I know someone who did it. He likes hillwalking and climbing.
I am fascinated by Everest and mountaineering but I'm not sure I'd be up to even a trek to base camp. I could never attempt the mountain itself - too risky (and expensive). Last edited by James; 18-04-2022 at 02:13 PM. |

I am into hiking. I think the main challenge is coping with the altitude of it all when I do it. It won't be easy but if I'm going to do it I might as well do it sooner rather than later.
James to The Base Camp is not too expensive. Well with a tour company, flights and food maybe around 2000 to 2500 but if you actually want to get to the top of Everest I'm sure it's like 45 grand! I'll stick with Base Camp for now! Will definitely get a bit more fitter before I do it x Last edited by Beastie; 18-04-2022 at 05:49 PM. |

Video from a drone flown from the summit of Everest.
I'm pretty sure this is genuine (you can't be absolutely sure these days), though not all the shots of mountains are Everest. |
