the highway code is being updated now as driverless cars are likely to be here before the end of the year. The driver is free to watch videos during their journey, but is still not allowed to talk on the phone

........... I'd love to hear the reasoning for this because while being on call is obviously dangerous and a major distraction for drivers, its a lot less so than watching bloody YouTube! Either it's safe to basically do whatever you want, or it isn't and you need to pay attention to the road.
