Default Ever knowingly broken the law?

Inspired by Zizu in Michael's Crime Witness thread.

I've refused to pay the TV licence fee for a long time. Never got any come back.

I think I’ve only committed one misdemeanour and at the time ( I was 12 ) ... I just figured that I’d outwitted the shop assistants rather than broke any law .

I was rummaging through some albums ( only vinyl in the early 70’s) and I noticed the some of the stick on price tags were peeling off so I put a 99p tag on an album cover and removed the £4.99 one .

That said , I must have known it was wrong as I do recall being very nervous as I paid at the counter ..

I've broken the law loads....am sure most people have. I break to speed limit regularly...not excessively but enough to have broken the law. I have shoplifted in my youth. Drank and smoked whilst underage. Taken illegal drugs in my youth. Trespassed. Could go on and am sure most people have broken many many laws in their lives....whether they care to admit it or not

Mr C had to do a speed awareness course...3 hours of his life he will never get back but saved him 3 points on his licence....money for old rope though 90.00 and 10 on the course, anyones guess how many of these they run every day, raking it in

Was it a Zoom one or in person? My dad had to do one over zoom last year....they are raking it in but better that than the points and possible hike in insurance

Yeah I did one over zoom recently and you do feel a bit aggrieved paying £80/90 for an old fella to lecture you from his kitchen for 3 hours but it's better than the alternative. It is quite entertaining as well as everyone's there with a burning sense of injustice and thinks they were particularly unlucky to be caught (although in my case I really was - empty motorway early Sunday morning and I exceeded a 40 limit that's on a small section which is normally very busy in the week)

Yeah I think almost everyone would be guilty of things like this in the past, I'd be amazed if someone had never broken the law

Best exchange I had with a police sergeant when near the town centre on a Friday afternoon in traffic

A sergeant in a gate way with a radio report people on the phone to traffic police further down the road

I was on the phone , some one shouted the phone at me and then even louder the phone get off the phone being my usual self I turned round and shouted with venom go and fcuk yourself

At this point the police sergeant jumped out behind my car and said that’s it.

I was stopped further down the road by a lovely wpc who said why did you say what you did to my sergeant?, I said because he was aggressive towards me

She said ok, I went on a phone course wich was a good laugh.

Everyone breaks a few traffic laws now and then, surely... I personally don't believe there are many drivers these days who aren't regularly doing 80 on the motorway, it's practically the new unofficial speed limit.

Other than driving stuff... just petty things really. underage drinking, some mostly light drugs in my teens/uni age (again thats most people surely). Rather a lot of copyright theft, which as we know, sadly funds TERRORISM! FACT!

I don't have a TV license as we genuinely don't watch live TV... but we MAY have watched Eurovision last week...

Trying to think if there's anything big. I don't THINK there is. Not that I can remember anyway

My dad had to do one of those years ago (maybe 10 years?) and there was no Zoom back then, and the course was down in Liverpool (he lives in Glasgow). I'm not sure if that's because he was in England when he was caught speeding (average speed cameras on the motorway) but it ended up costing him loads once fuel to drive down + a hotel was factored in. Still cheaper than the insurance hike he'd have got with the points though.
