Ritsu Doan moved from the Japanese J-League to the Dutch Eredivisie in 2017. First to FC Groningen, two seasons later to PSV Eindhoven. In the 2020/21 season, Doan played on loan for Arminia Bielefeld and scored five goals in 34 Bundesliga games. Last season he played for Eindhoven in the league, cup, Europa League and Conference League in 39 games and scored eleven goals. Ritsu Doan is the current Japanese international and thus group opponent of the DFB selection at the upcoming World Cup.

"Ritsu is technically very inclined, can be one-on-one and also knows how to be dangerous to score. He brings good spatial behaviour and energy to the pitch," says sporting director Klemens Hartenbach. "Ritsu showed in Bielefeld that he can play in the Bundesliga – we will need that from him as well. It's nice that it worked out with a one-year delay."

Ritsu Doan himself says: "The discussions with the Freiburg managers and the coach were intensive and convincing. Milan confirm Origi capture


AC Milan have completed the signing of former Liverpool striker Divock Origi on a free transfer, the Serie A champions confirmed on Tuesday.

Origi left Liverpool after eight years in England at the end of last season, having fallen down the pecking order at the club. He has signed a deal until June 2026 in Milan.
