[Thousands of railway workers will walk in a three-day national strike later this month which threatens major summer travel disruption across the UK. The RMT Union said it will "shut down" the country's railway network on 21, 23 and 25 June after talks over pay and redundancies fell through. More than 40,000 staff from Network Rail and 13 train operators are expected to take part. The action is being dubbed the "biggest rail strike in modern history".]

this is why labour will never get elected. They keep championing causes that piss off the majority of voters. I think they are pretty much clueless

POW! BLAM!

Goes to show - of you're going to ask commuters to rely on public transport, by the same method which is used to transport supplies for supermarkets ... You'd better make sure you don't piss off the staff
That said, train driving is almost automated these days. When the average train driver salary is like £50k, it might seem a bit tone-deaf to whine so much when their strikes will largely be affecting people on crap money and pointless unfulfilling jobs. There won't be a lot of support for almost a week's worth of strikes, and they're just asking for more automation. |
