It didn’t do it for me parm
But I will hijack your thread!
I’m sick to death pardon the pun of funeral and cremation adverts

People that are overly happy with death knowing their family won’t have to pay

The latest instalment is a child about 8 sulking in her room until her mum sorts out life insurance

When did kids start worrying about their parents life insurance

That’s my rant wot do you lot think?

Put yourself in the Scottish recovery position
In front of the tv, remote in one hand and a can of special brew in the other

I think it’s important for parents to have life insurance (especially with kids involved) however you’re right, the kids themselves don’t need to know about that stuff and shouldn’t even be thinking about it, and a kids primary concern when they lose a parent isn’t going to be getting the bills paid.

I've just had a coffee and dropped the Cleveland browns off at the super bowl.

I think the little girls should be worrying less, and should also stop watching so much telly and internet. I also think tv adverts shouldnt exploit children in this way.

Unfortunately, it's a sad reality that children of that age become the parent and roles are reversed... For numerous reasons, Ill health, addiction etc.

So I could imagine some may.

But they're just using emotion to sell the advert. It's everywhere, donkeys, kids with no water.... It becomes every other advert. It's a marketing technique

No different to sales really. When I first left school I worked for a string of publications selling advertising space and speaking to marketing directors,,,I'd say anything to make a sale including lying through my teeth

Those funeral and cremation adverts yes I agree they are unbearable. Mind you I don't know how else they could make an advert without it being really depressing but all the people on these adverts in a staged "natural" conversation. Ooh I've just been to the garden centre, look at these gorgeous flowers, June had lovely flowers at her funeral, talking of funerals have you looked into that site I recommended to you...the people in the adverts having such awful conversations all seem so happy about death and dying. It's very strange

I’m not sure those stats are even correct but either way I don’t want to be reminded every 30 minutes or so

Death is a natural part of life.
Some people find it hard to talk about I suppose.

I personally do not want a funeral, instead I am having a Mad hatters tea party.
Daughter and I are going into the finer details when she is off in the 6 weeks holidays.
I will be taken to be cremated on my own, brought back and have the best seat at the party.
Proper mad party mind..fancy dress is a must. Lots of lovely cakes and goodies in my new kitchen/family room.
The will is taking a bit of sorting out, but we will get there eventually.
