  • Manchester United thrashed arch-rivals Liverpool in their pre-season friendly
  • Jadon Sancho broke the deadlock after pouncing on a fluffed clearance
  • Fred then doubled the first-half lead with a superb chip to beat Alisson Becker
  • United made it 3-0 three minutes later when Anthony Martial cooly finished
  • Facundo Pellistri then rounded off the rout by finishing off a counter-attack

I read somewhere that ManU started back training 10 to 14 days ahead of all the other teams ?!?!?

If that is correct then that would explain today’s completely unexpected result

I'm old enough to remember when united were never desperate enough to claim moral victories in friendly matches. That was the job of us bin dippers as we wondered how many supporters El Hadj Diouf would spit at in the season to come
