after a chambermaid knocked on
the door but some of the guests had
already called reception to report shouting
and banging coming from the room.’

TV news footage showed several
police cars and an ambulance parked
outside the hotel as forensic teams walked

on from the nearby Ponte Vecchio bridge.

Local magistrate Ester Nocera has
opened an investigation into the tragedy
and was also seen walking into the hotel

Bit of a leap to suggest it was an erotic game that has gone wrong.

The article says that or domestic abuse, but they believe it was more an erotic game gone wrong.

Adrenaline could have caused him to have a seizure and if torturous sex.

A 40-year-old British man has been found dead at a hotel in Florence, local media have reported.

The man was found by hotel staff on Saturday morning alongside a seriously injured 43-year-old woman, thought to be his partner.

The woman is being treated at the Italian city's Careggi hospital.

The pair were staying at the four-star Hotel Continentale, in the historic centre of Florence, having reportedly arrived in the city on Friday night.

Local police and forensic teams were seen at the hotel on Saturday, after staff alerted the police.

A Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) spokesperson said: "We are in touch with the Italian police following the death of a British man in Florence."

These sort of sex 'games' that go wrong don't sound very sexy.

Like that guy who was found dead in a zipped-up, locked sports bag.

His partner is reported to be 'seriously hurt'. I think you're right. IT COULD be a case of domestic violence and she was using self defence.

The former rugby league player Ricky Bibey has been named by Italian media as the 40-year-old Briton found dead in a Florence hotel on Saturday.

The man was found by hotel staff alongside a seriously injured 43-year-old woman, thought to be his partner.
