Default How satisfied do you feel after being productive?

Whether it’s strictly-professional stuff or getting all your Saturday chores done, do you feel satisfied, content and that you’ve earned that bottle of wine (or whatever the case may be) or is there a certain pressing urge to do more/embark on another ‘project’?

It does, to be fair. There’s a definite joy in giving when you have the means to bless the people around you in whatever way you can. No-one comes to see me and goes home hungry and just that makes me smile. Makes me feel like I’m doing my bit for mankind.

I've met a lot of people like that over the past 10 years when I was down working in London. So much joy and generosity from complete strangers when you are in their houses fixing their TVs.

Moved back to Scotland and was instantly reminded that it's basically only family(the older ones) that make a fuss over you when you visit.

It's very strange, same as cuddling or a peck in the cheek when you meet friends of the opposite sex. Scotlands so uptight, but down london it just comes naturally to greet someone with a hug and sometimes a peck on the cheek.

I do miss that, I must admit.

Not sure which one of those options really. I feel good when I've been productive though is my answer

A single wasp nest will catch approx 4-5 metric tons of insects in one year.

That's enough insects to fill a 5000 sq ft warehouse and there are about 1,000 wasp nests per square mile!

Not every time because I've been stung standing still, moving and before I even knew there was a wasp there

Yeah, I feel like Liverpool and London are at the very least among the friendliest cities in the U.K., in-as-much as the latter has a rep. for being cold. With Londoners it’s all about more concrete time and functionality, because of how busy it is, but when they actually have time to look up they’re certainly no nicer than people from any other corner of the U.K. and other than the crime-problem people still mind their own business down there. Wining-and-dining solo is a common thing in London (nobody would bat an eyelid whether they’re actually really looking in your direction or not) whereas in certain places up north overly go-getter strangers with too much social time on their hands give solo diners pitying looks and try and give them company with a belligerently-patronising air that wouldn’t run if people just learnt to mind their own business.

Scousers are the ultimate force to be reckoned-with when it comes to friendliness, ’though. Lose your wallet at Aintree Racecourse and someone (whether it’s a flush Jack-the-lad or kindly nanny) will have your back and probably buy you a bottle of fine Aintree gin (so long as you’re not a Blues supporter).

I’m a bit technologically-challenged at the moment (so the work I was supposed to be doing from home I can’t do for the next day or so) but I’m always busy cleaning, doing laundry, running errands and cooking so I can’t say I haven’t got room for weekday productivity still. But it really is only potent peppermint tea what’s going to get me through it. I haven’t been running on the most energy so far this week but I can get by.

I really can’t wait to get my laptop back though. When you’re working on a project or something with someone communication’s obviously vital but if even your technological device has (even if temporarily) run out of steam that’s probably a good sign to just slow down and reboot for a day or two. I always feel bad/rude leaving people in the lurch even after explaining myself but some things are just unavoidable.
