Default Unite Union :Felixstowe Port Strike to go ahead, 2nd 8 day strike

[An eight-day strike at the UK's biggest container port
will go ahead after talks between bosses
and unions broke down.
More than 1,900 members of Unite will
strike from Sunday 21 August until
Monday 29 August
, unhappy with
the 7% pay rise offered by Felixstowe Dock
and Railway Company following a
1.4% increase last year.]

["During talks yesterday the port further
improved its position,
offering a £500 lump sum in addition to 7%.]

£500 Lump sum
and 7% seems a good offer.

A new 10-day Strike has started again,

They must get a 10% Rise they said
to Ch4HDnews.

Thousands of Cargo Containers
will have to go to other ports.

One Unite Member
showed a reporter his Family home
on the kitchen table, his wife had bought
4 new hot water bottles ready for the family
as he can no longer put the heating on.

we need to punish these selfish workers who think "wait if we stop working we cause chaos for the GBP so we can use fact to feather our own nests"

Poverty wages, austerity, and inequality are crippling the UK, not unions,

Probably shouldn't use communism in a sentence when you don't know what it means, and communism doesn't exist in Russia, but I'm sure a man of your intellect probably knows that already.

Those things are nothing to do with communism at all. Jesus Christ LT, I thought you had some basic knowledge at least.

Try and comprehend what you're dismissing - decent wages for decent work, a government that doesn't cut the heart out of communities to pay for the excess of themselves or bankers, and the wealthy to pay fairer taxes.

The greatest generation came back from the horrors of WW2, and chose a far more leftist agenda for the country than that, establishing the NHS and the welfare state, so I guess our greatest generation were commies, too? Or, and hear me out, you have no idea what you're talking about

"hero nurses"

no normal workers

hiding behind "hero worship as people get very emotional when ill"

I think that's the closest thing I've ever come to getting an actual written paragraph as a reply. it's complete nonsense, but a promising start.

Truss seems to want to be the New Maggie, so she may as well induce mass striking by mistreating workers...

Truss definitely thinks she is the new Maggie, but Maggie had a very strong team around her to back her up, Truss doesn't
