You know my methods

Pop artist Taylor Swift edited the video for one of her new songs after fat positivity activists accused her of fatphobia over a scene with a bathroom scale. The scene from her song "Anti-Hero" shows the singer weighing herself on a scale and looking at the display that reads "fat." While the video and the song were intended to be a commentary on how the wrong mindset can lead people into self-destructive habits, many on social media were outraged with and offended by the scene. "Taylor Swift’s music video, where she looks down at the scale where it says 'fat,' is a s****y way to describe her body image struggles. Fat people don’t need to have it reiterated yet again that it’s everyone’s worst nightmare to look like us," read one tweet that had more than 43k likes. "The Taylor swift fat discourse is killing me. Ppl saying it’s not harmful are *******ing stupid, just rotted. If my poor fat 13 year old self had sat down and watched a skinny blonde woman stand on a scale and it say fat I would have cried. If she’s fat what hope was there for me?" responded another commenter. "I feel like the fact that EVERY single person defending Taylor Swift is white and thin themselves kinda reinforces the point lol nobody who has experienced actual fatphobia is coming to her defense!!! Just the thin girls who 'feel fat sometimes' and are now experts," read another critical tweet. In order to appease the outraged crowd, the video was edited and the "fat" display scene was taken out, although the overall scene remained. Variety confirmed that the scene was excised from the music video on Apple Music, and it was also cut from the video on YouTube. https://www.theblaze.com/news/fatpho...ft-song-edited |

Are some people just incapable of understanding "satire"? Like obviously she's not fat, and she's not portrayed as being fat when she's on the scales. Can't those who are

Yeah, but overweight people found it offence. So much for creative independence.

Oh no, I'm English

I don't necessarily agree with her decision, but if she's ok with it, then I don't understand why knickers are in a twist.

It's the double standard hypocrisy I can't stand ,if Taylor Swift had "skinny" mentioned in her video ( as in meaning too thin) , I bet people wouldn't take offense then
The FA movement is honestly like a cult ,and they look for things to get offended at . |

The funny thing is they scream "fatphobia" ,but alot of them would never set foot in the dating world with a fat partner, they would rather date a fit or muscular person. Yet if anyone says fat people aren't their type, then the FA movement will make tons of tiktoks & write essays about how "fatphobic" that is .

these whole corporations running scared of a few kids on twitter - in case they lose money - is why the whole "trans" nonsense has gained ground when its a mere delusion with loud voices..

Jessica Meuse was robbed.

Okay I'm not even a Taylor Swift fan but this is ridiculous.
1. Her message from what I can tell was talking about her eating disorder, not anything about how being fat is bad. 2. I hate to break it to these people but being fat is unhealthy, just like being anorexic is unhealthy, and other types of lifestyles are unhealthy. It's not prejudiced to point that out if that was her intention.
