Default Will there be a new housemate?

The potential arrival of a new housemate has been topic numero uno among the gang.

Federico, Ray, Scott and Nush discussed the possibility of Big Brother introducing a new housie after this Friday's unprecedented double eviction.

The theory made perfect sense to the current inhabitants of the House - especially given that Federico was asked by Big Brother in the Diary Room what he thought of the notion.

"Big Brother says to me, 'Do you think someone else will come in?'", Federico told the others, "I said 'Obviously, I have no idea.'"

Federico then revealed Big Brother had asked him "How would you feel about it."

"It would be very interesting," Federico told the gang. Nush wasn't so sure though - she pointed out that, if two girls were to be evicted on Friday, and another boy came in, it would be seven boys to one girl.

Fed responded by reminding her it could be completely the opposite. "Imagine if it flips - if two guys leave, and a girl comes in making it 4-4."

"I think it's really good they're changing the rules," the Latin layabout added.

"We haven't got the foggiest," Scott reminded them.

"Imagine if there were six people up! Mental!" Federico continued.

"At the end of the day," Ray ended, "it's just like, 'Enjoy your last few days.'"

They'll find out tomorrow afternoon who's up for the Big Brother guillotine...

I think it's likely, especially given the fact that two housemates are going on Friday, which would mean that there would only then be three left in the final week.

I've voted 'likely'.

There seem to be two different rumours circulating just now about a new housemate - one is that it will be a celebrity, and the other is that one of the evicted housemates will return.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see!

Cant really see them putting one of the evicted housemates back in - after all they know exactly what is going on on the outside - would they be allowed to pass this on.

I just feel sorry for whoever they put in - will be really difficult to join the 'in crowd' as they have become. Again have they been kept away from the world a la Josh for all these weeks and not allowed to know what is going on.

They have had three in the last week before i.e. BB1.

But then again it might be just what is needed to liven up this increasingly boring lot.

BB likes to keep everyone guessing

I have voted likely out of a sense of hoping......

Perhaps they should put all the evicted housemates back and start from scratch

BB1 ended up with 3 in the final week

BB2 booted out Elizabeth the day befor the last day so there was 3 on the last day

BB3 was an abboration

If this leads to 3 on the final week if no one new enters, then it will be BB getting back to basics, which is why I do not believe they will add an extra housemate.

The extra housemate was a BB2 gimmick. The new people in BB3 were replacements for walkers.

Great minds think alike Stu - I just said this to one of my friends whilst standing in the kitchen at work contemplating the meaning of the universe etc.

Could always bring in Narinder - now she would stir it up.

Couldnt have Paul and Helen much as that would delight me - they couldnt have any privacy for stuff and the like

yeah Narinder would be good and i would doubt she would say no - she is always desparate for some kind of publicity + she was voted out quite early so its not like she got fed up with it xxx

I do hope there's a new housemate... Preferably a seriously annoying, hyperactive, Tania-challenging housemate. Solely because Tania's decided she doesn't want someone else to come into the house, and she likes her position as being the rather dumb (c'mon, it took her over two minutes to understand that two people would be evicted, and took both Jon and Ray to explain it to her) and being a rather loud "I am Tania, and everyone loves me and my excessive blusher".

Not that I don't like Tania either, but I'm seriously struggling to find one housemate I favour above all of the others, whilst I like both Jon and Cameron, there's something that doesn't quite add up with Cameron, and I suspect Jon will be stoned to death by vegetarians and vegans alike.

Besides, can you imagine the looks on their faces by a bouncing, cheerful, non-caring housemate for two whole weeks?

Hang on a minute - hasn't the shopping budget been set for EIGHT people next week rather than SEVEN??

Does that confirm that someone is definitely coming in? Or would Big Brother take some money off their budget (unlikely as they do the shopping list on Thursdays)?

I remember a Big Brother producer saying that they left 4 in for the final week of BB2, because the atmosphere the previous year, in the final week, had been flat.

Bringing in new housemates late doesn't really work because they don't fit in, and if a celeb entered the house could they be nominated because Channel 4 certainly won't want an eviction-free week.

It doesn't add up yet.

Well spotted Kaph - you are right they are budgeting for 8 not 7.

So definitely got to be a new housemate.

Eagle eyed Kaph well Done

Now I am going to be completely off the wall and have lost my trolley but could this possibly be the TV thingy that Helen has been hinting about.

Really dont think so, but perhaps her and Paul are going in and the Reward room is going to be made over as a bed sit for them.

NOT THAT WOULD BE INTERESTING.

As I said completely off the wall, but the way my mind works.
