Or Joe McFadden ,who from what I heard performed on stage ballroom prior to strictly. Caroline Flack took part in a disabled version of strictly, so already gained dance experience before she won strictly. Kimberly Wyatt was also a dancer beforehand . Those are just a few I can think of. Like I said if people hate dance experience ,then the competition would be full of Anne widdecombs & ed Balls . It's impossible for strictly not to have contestants with some advantages in dance . It's funny how nobody minds dancing on ice ,which I always found unfair when not everyone has ever set foot on the ice , Clearly some people have dabbled in ice skating though so will have an advantage. Maybe BBC should axe strictly, seen as there's too much media bs & people get their knickers in a twist every year over "dance experience". People seemed fine with the sister show 'strictly dance fever ' , as that was always clear about the contestants all being dancers . Difference being they were non celebrity. |

I'm just fed up of every year people moaning about "dance experience" & "ringers" , yet these same people never have the same energy for the Jill Halfpenny's or the Joe McFadden's . Certain people get free passes ,yet others get grief & rubbish written in the rags about them . It's double standards.
I personally don't care who has or hasn't got previous dance experience, as long as it's not a professional dancer like Michael Flatley , then I don't see the problem. Most of them have a fitness advantage discipline or some dance experience, it's life..... so what . |

Today's revelation indicates that the BBC have used this year's competition to force through to stardom someone they have earmarked for success in coming years.
At the expense of others more worthy. At the expense of the integrity of the contest. At the expense of the viewers and voters. At the expense of other entrants who had never had dance lessons or danced on stage. Manipulation by a quango. Or the quango has been hoodwinked. Nicky91, I am trying hard to ignore you but your inaccuracies are delightfully irresistible: "who is Anglooo a multi of?" please translate. "who cares?" - with 58,989 posts, you clearly do. Strictly is soft as ****e now - the next stage in reducing credibility will be giving everyone 2 X couples choice dances to wave arms and legs around and not make the celebs do anything too difficult like the nasty Foxtrot or Waltz. |

The wokeism for me is that introduction of contemporary and street / commercial etc - non-traditional dances, once you do that why not have cheerleader dancing, or why not have tap or even ballet. Of course, they would never allow ballet - far too elitist... |

Apologies. I didn't mean to make you feel excluded. Of course you are welcome here. It was just that Nicky felt attacked that I wanted to point out. My bad.

Lowest judges' scores.
Wins. Transparent scores? BBC at its typical worst. Won't finish here..... |

Final performances
Fleur & Molly the BEST of the night , so much class and style . Fleur edged Molly . I'm so happy they got to the final to dance all their routines again, it was thrilling to watch . Helen& Hamza have been on such a journey and i was so happy whoever won between them , Helen has gained such confidence and Hamza has such loveable energy . I liked all 4 . So whether people think the judges had favouritism or whether the producers were pushing certain celebs to win . I still enjoyed it all round . And well done to Hamza he deserves it . Like i said there's been previous series' where the contestants were underserving yet still won . So i don't understand the fuss here , as atleast Hamza is a humble genuine guy . And at the end of the day we all know strictly is a popularity contest , and he was voted the winner . So he's clearly well liked ......with or without bias judging. So yes the judges are messy , but Hamza did some outstanding performances, and he was a nice guy about it . Last edited by GoldHeart; 18-12-2022 at 02:22 AM. |

But like Rose last year the standards have dropped dancing wise, because even with Bill Bailey the year before I would say that his Paso Doble, Quickstep, Couples Choice, Metallica Tango & his Showdance were all really standout performances imo, yes Hrvy and Maisie were technically better dancers, but Bill was also at a high standard as well. And then bizarrely afterwards we get Rose win where all of her dances blend into being one and the same, and Hamza imo lives off two dances. Personally I'm with you on not understanding why only Hamza is being pulled up for this when Rose won just last year, but two underwhelming winners back to back imo.

Over the years ...I've noticed some showdances aren't as exciting anymore aswell. This is the confusing thing though, you can tell Hamza didn't have alot of experience ....yet the media rags tried to expose him for being some secret Michael Flatley ,which is silly. When he struggled in some dances , just like Will & Helen struggled in some of their dances aswell. Hamza was nervous in his showdance...but I think he still did ok. The public like supporting people who have less dance experience. Last edited by GoldHeart; 18-12-2022 at 09:47 AM. |
