I'm not really a betting person, but sometimes I feel like a flutter when I rightly predict outcomes of TV shows...but I never have.

I do genuinely think it can be sort of fun for things like that and is probably the "safer" form of gambling, since you can't exactly start losing your house on making one bet on a reality TV show every few months. And for us who are into these things like on this forum you can get some genuine no-brainers at high odds if you're right on top of it - a good example, in the final BB series, Lewis was MASSIVE favourite when he was kicked out, but for a few hours after he was removed you could still get something like 6/1 on Cameron, who was basically a guaranteed win after Lewis was removed due to inherited votes. The bookies caught up eventually but like I said, it was a couple of hours after the TiBB news broke about him being removed...

Then again maybe it's like a "gateway drug". Don't gamble, kids!

I can see the fun in a little flutter, I feel like I might aswell have put bets on with most of IAC ...as I more or less predicted most of the winners .

But gambling can be easily addictive for some.

Gambling is a very specific sort of "high" that's almost the opposite of "gaming high" ... gaming high is about the reward cycle of doing something well and progressing - gambling high is basically all about the "letting go" ... people don't get a thrill out of it when they're actively placing the bet, the thrill comes when the "event" (be that a race, football game, or roulette spin) has commenced and the money is on the line, and there's NOTHING that the gambler can do to affect the outcome at that point. They just have to wait and hope, and get the "up" of it going their way when it does.

No. Just scratchcards sometimes and I've played the lottery.

This is how the Alcohol industry really operates. South Park put it perfectly in their little ad Same as gambling companies offering free bets, like a drug dealer giving you your first gram of coke for free.

It's like an ad for Tate's "hustler's university".

There was a woman on the news defending him last night, she had a "tate's girl" tattoo on her arm
