Should Eastenders be cancelled for depicting suicide, violence, drug abuse ect? Are they inciting their viewers to do the same?

I think the country needs to have a serious debate on getting rid of the soap operas.

Hardly comparable Alf. One is a fictional TV Shows with Fictional characters the other is a man with a lot of media influence suggesting this is what should happen to a real person (who already has a lot of people who strongly dislike her)

Clarkson doesn't tell jokes, he sells himself as an entity in the media. In order to gain attention, part of his job is to be controversial. Some people may find it funny, others not, that's not the point of what he is doing, the point is to gain attention

Eastenders have media influence. They're characters are influential on their viewers

Because as much as I dislike Hopkins, there's no way I'd support just as a jjoke or meant, the parading of anyone, male or female, through the streets naked, having other people's mess thrown at them.

In fact that anyone could even mean it or joke about it simply disgusts me.

If Kate had done anything to deserve that kind of dig I would have found it equally as amusing…
However I have always stated I don’t think the comment was appropriate for publishing and as I have said it should have been said amongst people who get his sense of humour privately….

The internet world made a joke out of 2 women pooping then eating a cup of excrement...this is nothing compared to that.

However this kind of tasteless sick humour or acts just totally disgust me.

I never thought that I'd defend Eastenders.

But you're comparing fictional storylines that are meant to spark discussion about said topics that can happen in real life, to a rant about having someone stripped naked in public, and throw **** at her.

I agree with you on the Paedo stuff, they should never be accepted in society, and hopefully they never will be accepted in society.
