Default Sainsbury's to axe Argos depots with 1,400 jobs hit : by 2026

[Sainsbury's is planning to close two Argos depots
over the next three years in a move
that will impact more than 1,400 jobs.
The supermarket giant aims to shut
its Argos warehouse in Basildon, Essex,
and a depot in Heywood,
Greater Manchester by 2026.
]

Yes,
People not buying so many items
from Argos
who moved inside many big Sainsbury's
It moved off the High Street.
So some people went to Amazon UK

Both Sainsbury's staff and those who work
for an outsourced contractor will be affected, it said.
The firm is integrating its Sainsbury's
and Argos operations to cut costs.

The grocer also said it would close
its Milton Keynes office in response
to flexible working across the group,
but stressed no jobs would be
impacted by the decision.

However, it also announced that
its three remaining Habitat showrooms
will close later this year as it plans
to launch a replacement digital showroom,
which will see a small number
of workers affected.

So Sainsbury's buys out Argos. Terminates Argos and just takes their custom for Sainsbury's. Then it can lay-off all the Argos staff because they're no longer needed and save money by cutting huge amounts of staff.while at the same time profiting by taking Argos's customers.

The big man ****'s on the little man and that's why you or your like will never succeed in business again. The monopolies win.

Unless you boycott them of course and root for and support the little man instead. Do you have the fight inside you to resist and do that?

There are still Argos stores
just you need to locate a Sainsbury's big store
to go to one.

They are downsized.

Back in the Good old days
we could go into an Argos
or an Index store, on our high streets
cheaper than Amazon UK
