The first forum I was a regular on was shut down almost over-night and the whole population migrated to a fan-made forum run by a member. And then he turned into some sort of evangelical hard-line Christian and started trying to implement really strict authoritarian rules so ... ANOTHER member made yet another forum, and everyone went there instead .

That one did eventually fizzle out after a couple of years.

The second forum was actually great to be fair, when everyone was still there but there were absolutely no rules whatsoever . Pity the guy tried to turn it into a cult .
