[Several people have been killed
in a shooting in the northern German
city of Hamburg.
Hamburg Police say shots were fired
in a church in the Gross Borstel district,
with several people seriously injured
and some killed.
German newspaper Bild reports seven people
were killed and at least eight others injured.

The shooting occurred in a building used by
Jehovah's Witnesses, local media report.
Police said the motive for the attack is
currently unclear, as a number of armed

As many on here know I myself am a JW. Those above comments aren't nice. Especially after what has happened. People have many misconceptions about us and I'm not going to get in a debate with people about it as people are rude on here to me whenever I bring it up. What I will say is we are peaceful people who refuse to get involved in violence and war. So this is really distressing that someone would trager us just because we wanted to be at our place of worship. You all may have your misconceptions but before you become cruel just think of the different people we have attend our meetings. Families. Children. Babies. Elderly. And we are human.

I have my own theory. Sometimes people can leave and stop being a JW, and quite often when people do that they go to an extreme of hating us and wanting to attack at every opportunity whether it's online, social media, pamphlets etc. It could be a disgruntled former jw wanting some form of revenge.

I agree Jake pretty insensitive, we are, all people and this, an awful thing to happen.

Absolutely more senseless killings of innocent people.

Officials said the suspect had "ill feelings" towards the religious community, of which he had previously been a member before leaving "on bad terms".

I had a feeling it was this aswell , what a nutter he is thinking it's ok to shoot & kill people.
