There are only two good reasons to wear a tie, and I point-blank refuse to wear the putrid things otherwise

Male staff are being pressured to wear ties at our high school ( new regime) .. as far as I can see I’m the only one holding out !

If they really , really force it and things get awkward then I will wear black shirts with black tie …

They do look ‘neat and tidy’ and there’s a place for that .. wedding , court appearance etc

Thankfully SEN/SEMH dress codes are a lot more lax
