No they are already here in UK. Very good report in this week's Spectator by Mary Wakefield

Voice scams 2nd biggest scam in USA last year and will be biggest by end of this year.

In Jan a UK start-up released a voice cloning platform. 1 week later someone used it to cook up the voice of Emma Watson reading Mein Kampf!

AI porn is the next big thing, you can use it to make porn about friends and work colleagues.

Many elderly mums and dads will be scammed by AI voice this year in the UK.

you need more than a cloned voice fgs. They would need to clone the call origin too, which isn't so easy. Also, people know how their close relatives talk. It's impossible to clone that
