POW! BLAM!

I'm not sure if that's the correct term
But the things they stick between scenes, which in C4 era and about half the time in C5, we random shots of things in the house etc, where the HMs are doing exaggerated reactions on a greenscreen with the "theme" put around them. They're cheesey but I love them |

To me Channel 5 excelled at CBB and never put a good enough effort into the Civilian series. I'd like them to do more houseshots than reaction shots of housemates and I don't wanna see any names on screen or # graphics. Maybe after the ad breaks but I prefer minimal clean editting. I hated those musical montage moments too. I'm happy with minimal Marcus narration and a little "DAY??" Graphic.

They’re called bumpers. C4 used to use them and show objects, lights changing, cameras spinning, etc. with some form of music. C5 over exaggerated it by adding the hm’s and such. I hope ITV reverts back to the more simplistic early-mid C4 days of editing. Background music and heavy on-screen graphics are just too distracting.

I've been rewatching BB16, it was a bit much that they used Brian Belo's generic "oh no!" headslapping bumper when he was "crying" about his argument with Helen
