Federico has splintered himself off from the rest of the housemates for the entire duration of the day.

As ever, Federico slept in late. However Fed's absence was glaringly obvious when all the others rose in sympathy for Nush who had to perform her superhero task at 07:30.



Over the course of the morning five of the other housemates performed their task, which meant five booming Tannoy announcements. Still he slept.

Even when Big Brother announced that the task was over at 13:30, he remained prostrate. But at this stage, his absence seemed entirely accidental as he was simply having a kip.

An hour later, Big Brother announced that the task result would be revealed in ten minutes. The housemates decided to dress in their superhero costumes for the result and went into the garden to prepare.

Federico was up and about by this stage and did put on his costume; but rather than joining in with the larking about he remained inside, watching the others through the window.

As he sat munching toast, he appeared to be in an almost hypnotised state - staring out from under the peek of his pink visor.

His solitude became yet more pronounced when the other housemates bundled into the Diary Room to celebrate their success with Big Brother. Fed didn't join them.

Whether he was feeling guilty for almost failing the task is anyone's guess, but he stood alone in the living area, taking off his costume and muttering to himself.

He even refused to join the group when his absence was noticed and Gos attempted to welcome him back into the fold. "Why don't you come in, mate?" asked the chef when he found Fed in the boys' room.

Fed's reply was cryptic but revealing. "There's already plenty of people in there."

Gos left Fed on his own and came back into the lounge area to chat with his housemates. After spending another half hour washing and showering, Fed finally joined the others, remaining uncharacteristically quiet throughout.

What is going on with Fed? Does he want out? Is he struck down with nerves about Friday's shock double eviction?
