Default Natwest upgrades AI chatbot to provide ‘human interaction’

Called Cora+
ideal for old folk.

[Natwest Bank
has partnered with IBM to launch
an AI chatbot
designed to provide more “human interaction”
to customers after closing dozens of
local branches this year.

The bot, called Cora+, is the second iteration
of a “digital human” developed by the bank in 2018.]

AI is being used in a lot of customer facing settings, not just the obvious chat bots, and the majority of us can't spot the difference

i especially love the Bing Search AI Chatbot, helps you find something you are looking for within your search

provides various legit sources too of this information

Ironically - the way to spot them is because the writing is too good. If you think "Wow, someone with such great syntax shouldn't be working in some dingy customer support centre!" then most likely, you're talking to ChatGPT.

I don't necessarily mind the use of AI frontends in general - but the idea that lonely old folks think they're getting a little bit of human contact when they're just talking to a chatbot is quite bleak.
