I’m trying to be careful about using the word r-word (resolution) because I just think that on the one hand I think it’s pointless (if harmless tradition) to actually wait until the thirty-first of December specifically to get certain elements of your life in better form only to break them two weeks later. But if you are trying to make serious, tangible resolutions about things you’re actually committed to sticking to (maybe you have no choice and have to advance), what are they?

Mine (beyond taking down my Christmas PP at some actual point this year/month) would be to be a bit less cynical about certain social relationships. Boundaries are important but in doing that you don’t want to make the mistake of pushing good people away.
